La Cote D’Azur Pty Ltd ACN 164 463 370 as trustee for Vio-Seror Family Trust, trading as Octopus Dive ABN 97 424 811 020 is the legal entity in this privacy policy, fully owned, when we mention “we”, “us or “our” we are referring to the above entity.

This privacy policy does not extend to third parties selling or recommending our services and products, we are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of any third party agent or licensee.

We respect the privacy of all individuals. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and comply with our obligations under The Privacy Act 1988 and abide by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The collection of DATA

For the purpose of the service or product, we may have to collect personal data about you and transfer this information over to the company providing certifications. This information is also used for quality management for good practice in the industry and keep our standards the highest in providing the best and safest service to our customers.

What we may collect:

• Identity details such as FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, TITLE, GENDER, DATE OF BIRTH, AGE, DIVE CERTIFICATION
• Contact details such as ADDRESS, PHONE, EMAIL
• Financial details such PAYMENT CARD 
• Transaction details such as past bookings, payments you have made and details about of products and services you have purchased
• Technical data such as which device your enquiry came from and which page on the website you sent the enquiry from
• Marketing data such as usage preference for communication like our newsletter or direct contact.

You have the right to refuse to provide any of the details but if you choose not to, we would not be able to perform any contract you are trying to enter and that may lead to cancel a product or service.

We will notify you if that case may be.

Marketing

You will only receive communications either directly via email from us or through a newsletter if you have opted in or consented to receiving those communications. Your personal data collected for that purpose are to keep you up to date with latest news, special events, offers and promotions of Octopus Dive.

You can unsubscribe at any time from receiving our marketing communications.

Call recording

We do not record or store any of your conversations with us, we may only take note of information down for collection of data as mentioned above. You will be notified of each information collected and the purpose of this information used for.

Sharing your personal data

We will only share your personal data required for the purpose of the contract you entered with us regarding a product or service purchased by you. We will only collect and share such data from the person entering the contract or parent/guardian of the child entering the contract and details of all parties when multiple people are entering the contract, 1 contact is responsible for handing all the information required as true and all documents need to be filled out and signed by all parties involved. 

We will only share your personal data with third parties involved in the process of your certification. Please contact us if you require more information to how we share your personal data.

Your rights 

You have the right to request:

• To have us rectify any data concerning you as the person or parent/guardian on the contract;
• To have us erase personal data subject it is no longer necessary to hold this information, ie. You have completed your course;
• To access your personal data by asking what sort of data we hold, the purpose it is held for and how it was collected.
